Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan is on the road to recovery after a harrowing incident at his Mumbai apartment, where he was attacked by an intruder and stabbed six times. Following extensive surgery, the actor has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to a special recovery room at Lilavati Hospital.
The attack, which occurred on Thursday, left Saif with serious injuries, including a 2.5-inch piece of the blade lodged in his spine. After a grueling five-hour surgery, the medical team successfully removed the blade, allowing Saif to begin his recovery process.
“Saif Ali Khan is recuperating well, and we’ve already made him walk. He’s responding positively and can walk without difficulty,” said Dr. Nitin Narayan Dange of Lilavati Hospital in a press briefing. Despite his progress, the actor will remain under observation for a week to ensure his wounds heal properly and to prevent any risk of infection.
Meanwhile, authorities are actively investigating the incident, but the intruder responsible for the attack has not yet been apprehended. The motive behind the assault remains unclear, adding an air of mystery to the shocking event.
