Nivetha Pethuraj, who was supposed to play the female lead in Sai Dharam Tej’s next with Deva Katta, has opted out of the project due to date issues. due to COVID shootings postponed for almost six months or staying at home, all the films that were already committed have come to a halt. And now that the shootings have been allowed as part of the lockdown easing,
all the project sets in a row are coming up. It is learned that Tollywood actor Sai Dharam Tej is currently making a film under the direction of Deva kotta. The director, who had earlier finalized Nivetha Pethuraj as the heroine, is the heroine of this film which is going to be a political thriller. Though Nivetha Pethuraj signed the film even before the lockdown was announced, she decided to opt-out of the project now due to date issues.
According to reports, the makers of the film narrated the script over a phone call to Aishwarya Rajesh and convinced her to be a part of the project a week before the shoot. Aishwarya Rajesh has already started preparing for the role as it has scope to perform.
Directed by Deva Katta, the film is touted to be a socio-political drama. The script of the film is loosely based on incidents that happened in Eluru in 2004. Ramya Krishnan will be seen essaying the role of a Chief Minister in the film.
