Alia Bhatt on learning Telugu for SS Rajamouli's RRR

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is thrilled about her Telugu debut flick, RRR, which is directed by SS Rajamouli. In the film, she is paired opposite Ram Charan. She will join the sets from the first week of November. RRR, starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead roles, has been in the making for over a year now.

The actress has already commenced preparation for her role as she has started learning the Telugu language from scratch. Sources close to the actress reveal that she is taking Telugu classes every day from a tutor. Several actors in the industry tried their own voices very rarely. But even with the first film, Alia is going to dub for her role.

Speaking to a leading English daily, Alia said, “It is a challenge, yes, I can’t deny that. Telugu is a tough language to learn. But it’s a very expressive language. I want to understand the nuances of the language, why certain words are pronounced the way they are, and what they convey. Only then will I be able to express my character’s feelings.”
