In a recent interview, popular Tamil filmmaker Atlee shared exciting details about his upcoming project with Superstar Rajinikanth. Atlee, who gained widespread recognition with the success of his latest film “Jawan,” has become one of the most sought-after directors in the country.
Expressing his admiration for Rajinikanth, Atlee revealed that he entered the film industry after being inspired by Rajini’s classic movie, “Thalapathy.” Having previously worked with Rajinikanth on “Enthiran” (Robot) while assisting director Shankar, Atlee disclosed that he has had several story discussions with the legendary actor for their upcoming collaboration.
Despite the speculation surrounding the project, Atlee is yet to make a formal announcement, citing time constraints in finalizing the perfect script for Rajinikanth. He expressed his desire to create something beyond the iconic “Baasha” and emphasized that, just like his films were the peak for actors Arya and Vijay, he aims to achieve the same pinnacle for Rajinikanth in their collaboration. Atlee also shared that Rajinikanth affectionately calls him “Kanna” (dear) and is always ready to act under his direction.
