Tollywood Audience and box office is getting ready for November’s Diwali movies competition. Stars like Suriya, Nayanthara, Rajinikanth and Ranbir Kapoor announced their film release date but non of them coming from Tollywood mostly. Among the all the movie Ramayana Part 1 was big budget film from Bollywood. Telugu filmmakers have strategically stepped back from competing during that slot. However, Tamil film makers and producers are taking a different approach—they’re not backing down from the Diwali challenge.

Surya’s “Scene” Locked for November 6 Release

Surya’s film “Scene” has officially announced its November 6 release date. The Team already completed shooting and curently post-production underway, the film is geared up for a direct Diwali clash.

Nayanthara’s “Mahashakti” (Mookuthi Amman 2) Enters the Race

Actress Nayanthara ready for clash with her Pan India film Mahashakti and makers dropped teaser yesterday with release date. Despite knowing about Ramayana’s arrival and Surya’s “Scene” announcement, Nayanthara’s team confidently threw their hat into the ring—suggesting significant confidence in their project.

Global Release Factor: Godzilla Minus Zero and Screen Allocation Concerns

A critical factor in this equation is Godzilla Minus Zero’s massive worldwide release. Industry analysts predict that Ramayana will face no obstacles in acquiring optimal screen counts overseas. Since Ramayana is distributed by Sony, management of screen allocation favors the big-budget project. The remaining films will struggle significantly to secure adequate screens internationally.

This creates a challenging environment where available screens diminish for other releases, especially in overseas markets where Ramayana’s dominance is expected to be absolute.

The Jailer 2 Release date Change

There’s unresolved speculation around Jailer 2. If it shifts away from Dussehra and opts for a Diwali release instead, either Surya or Nayanthara might have to yield their slots. However, Chennai industry sources maintain that Jailer 2 will NOT be postponed, claiming that director Nelson Dilip Kumar has committed to completing his work on schedule. The clarity on this situation should emerge within the next 2-3 days.

Some telugu films originally scheduled for September-October releases but unfortunately due to technical issues and production delays change their movie release dates. Strategically avoiding the Diwali slot entirely.
