For the past few days, whispers have been circulating about director Chandoo Mondeti’s next project. Rumor has it that he’s preparing to direct Naga Chaitanya for Geetha Arts. However, after the massive success of his previous film, Chandoo has a plethora of intriguing options on his plate. Despite this, there’s a story behind why he may choose to direct this particular film.
Word on the street is that Geetha Arts has already developed a story for Naga Chaitanya, with a production cost that could reach a staggering ₹60 crores. As only an experienced director can handle such a project, it’s been said that Naga Chaitanya has specifically requested Chandoo Mondeti’s involvement.
He doesn’t want a novice at the helm. However, Chandoo has already committed to directing a film for Geetha Arts with Tamil superstar Surya in the lead. As Geetha Arts is producing that film as well, Allu Arvind has reportedly asked Chandoo to direct Chay’s film too.
One of the producer Bunny Vas revealed the story that “We’re doing our next film with #NagaChaitanya, who will play Thandelu (Boat Driver). It’s a true story about a man in Surat with a beautiful love story and unexpected twists. We’ve done a lot of research for the film, and shooting will start soon.”
Currently, the script is undergoing some changes in the second half, as per Chay’s suggestions. Once the script is finalized, there’s a 90% chance that Chandoo will direct the film. However, if he becomes too busy, a new director will take over under Chandoo’s supervision.

Despite being in high demand after the success of Karthikeya 2, Chandoo is being praised for his loyalty to Geetha Arts. He’s sticking with Allu Arvind and has committed to a few projects for the production house. That’s the real story so far, but who knows what secrets lie beneath the surface?
