Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is creating a storm at the box office even before its release. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Sooraj, Mirnaa and others play key roles in the film. Through OTT, satellite and theatrical rights, the movie is said to have generated business worth approximately Rs. 650 crore. With such huge pre-release business, the film is heading to the box office with massive expectations.
Jailer 2 Advance Booking Collections
The response to advance bookings has been impressive so far. In Tamil Nadu, the film has already collected around Rs. 15 crore through advance ticket sales. Karnataka has reportedly contributed Rs. 1 crore, while the Telugu states have recorded around Rs. 50 lakh. Kerala and other regions are also seeing strong bookings.

According to trade estimates, Jailer 2 is expected to register record collections across India on its opening day.
Tamil Nadu is projected to contribute around Rs. 25 crore, while Karnataka could bring in Rs. 10 crore. The film is expected to collect approximately Rs. 7 crore in Kerala and Rs. 5 crore in the Telugu states. Other Indian markets may contribute another Rs. 5–7 crore.
Based on these estimates, the film could collect around Rs. 54–55 crore in India on Day 1, according to trade circles.

The overseas market is also expected to play a major role in the film’s opening-day collections. Trade analysts predict that the movie could collect around $2 million in North America, $1.5 million in the Gulf countries and $1 million in Singapore and Malaysia.
Europe is expected to contribute around $700,000, while Australia and New Zealand could account for approximately $500,000. Other overseas markets may contribute another $500,000.
Based on these projections, Jailer 2 could earn around Rs. 55–60 crore overseas on its first day.
Jailer 2 Worldwide Opening Day Collections
Combining the projected Indian and overseas collections, Jailer 2 is expected to collect around Rs. 110–115 crore worldwide on Day 1.
However, the film could surpass these estimates if it receives a positive response from audiences. With strong word of mouth, trade circles believe the Rajinikanth-starrer could potentially collect around Rs. 140–150 crore worldwide on its opening day.
