Rajinikanth’s latest comeback is Jailer. The film received positive talk at the box office from benefit shows all over. Even in the USA, Jailer is running successfully at the box office. The film grossed around $920K from its USA premieres. 

According to the USA distributor, the film has grossed over $1.5 million in North America at the Day 1 box office. It seems that Rajni’s Jailor surpassed the lifetime box office collections of Dalapati Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ ($1.14M) and Thala Ajith’s ‘Tunivu’ ($880K), which was released last month in the USA, by crossing the $1.5 million mark.

‘Jailor’ needs to earn more than $4.5 million (Rs 38 crores) to become the highest grossing Tamil film of 2023 in the USA box office. American Trade reports say that this feat seems easily possible with the jailer. It is reported that more than 72 crores have been collected at the worldwide box office on the first day.

There were reports that the film collected Rs. 24 crore in Tamil Nadu without special morning shows. 7 crores were collected from Telugu states on the first day. Director Nelson is being praised for his success in bringing Rajinikanth to the screen, as expected by the fans. According to the details received so far, it seems that Ajit-Vijay’s records in America have been shattered due to the Jailer movie.
