Hey there! So, there’s some exciting news about Suriya’s upcoming pan-India film, Kanguva. The title reveal video was absolutely amazing, with some top-notch CGI and visuals that had everyone buzzing. Even director Siva, who’s known for his commercial mass entertainment, surprised everyone with his ability to deliver such an incredible outcome in such a short amount of time.

Originally, the Kanguva film was set to release in January 2024, but it looks like it’s been postponed to the summer due to the shooting schedule taking longer than expected. With big sets and a large cast involved, it’s no surprise that it’s taking a bit more time. But don’t worry; we can still expect to see Kanguva in April or May 2024.

There’s a lot of anticipation for this pan-India project in trade circles, and it’s no wonder why. Prime Video has acquired the Kanguva digital rights for a whopping 80 crore,  excluding the Hindi language. And the South Indian digital rights have been sold for the same amount, making it the biggest deal for a Tamil movie on Prime. It’s the second-biggest deal in Tamil movies after Vijay’s Leo, which was bought by Netflix.

Director Siva has promised that Surya’s Kanguva will take us to an entirely new world and give us an experience like never before. With heavy VFX work and the amazing title reveal video, we’re definitely in for a treat. The movie will be released in both 2D and 3D versions in all languages, so everyone can enjoy it.

Produced by Gnanavel Raja on the Studio Green banner, Kanguva stars Disha Patani as the female lead, and Devi Sri Prasad is composing the film’s music. It’s slated to be released in 10 languages, so mark your calendars!
