Hero Nikhil’s upcoming thriller, Karthikeya 2 which was supposed to hit the screens on July 22nd has been postponed to August 12th due to the reasons better known to the industry bigwigs.
Inside reports suggest that Dil Raju is the main person behind the postponement of Karthikeya 2 from July 22nd. Even Nikhil in a recent promotional interview said that he literally cried after listening to the news that his film will not be releasing anytime soon.
Karthikeya 2 New Release Date
But this afternoon, an official announcement came out that Karthikeya 2 release is postponed yet again. Reportedly, the film will be postponed by a day and will be out on August 13th.
Sources say that as Nithiin starrer Macherla Niyojakavargam is releasing on August 12th, the team of Karthikeya 2 is forced to opt for August 13th release.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film has Anupama Parmeshwaran as the female lead. Srinivas Reddy and Viva Harsha will be seen in comic roles in Karthikeya 2.
Now, what is the situation of Bellamkonda Ganesh’s debut film, Swathimuthyam which is slated to hit the screens on August 13th. Will it release on the scheduled date or postpone further? Remains to be seen.
