Karthikeya 2 Movie Review
Merits: Nikhil is into the character and did cent percent justice to the role. His acting brings depth to a few key scenes in both the halves.
The basic theme of the film related to Lord Sri Krishna is intriguing and instantly grabbed the audience attention. Bollywood actor Anupam Kher did a key cameo role and the talented actor did good job
Anupama Parameswaran is cute and did her part decently. Her chemistry with nikhil works in bits and pieces in this adventures thriller.
Srinivas Reddy and Viva Harsha are here to provide good fun during the proceedings and their character have a purpose too. Aditya Menon did his part perfectly in the given key role.
Demerits: The film starts off a little slow pace and not much happenes for almost thirty minutes. Except for the key twists and turns most of the film runs on a dull note which can be termed as a minus.
Adding to it, a few sub-plots which are addressed in the first half are left without proper detailing in the second half. Though director Chandoo Mondeti’s work is impressive, he would have focused on the above elements at the scripting stage itself.
Technical Crew: The VFX and graphics work done for the film is nice and makes the audience believable. The core VFX team should be appreciated for coming up with some authentic work. Director Chandoo Mondeti’s work and his research on Lord Sri Krishna is visible on screen.
Music by Kaala Bhairava is good. While all the songs are passable on screen, his background registers well.Editing by Karthik Ghattamaneni is slick and straight to the point. He also did camera work for the film and used rich lens to capture the mood of the film.
Production design is good as the team went all the way to many locations to shot for the film. Production values for this Abhishek Agarwal Arts and People Media Factory banners has good standards.
Verdict: To wrap up, the main storyline of Karthikeya 2 is interesting and has a few engaging portions in the narrative interconnected with the theme of Lord Sri Krishna. On the other hand, lack of gripping presentation throughout the film and diluted thrilling factor comes as a demerit. Keep a check on your expectations before watching the film is what we suggest.
