Tamil Actor Karthi’s 25th film, “Japan,” was released worldwide on November 10th with high expectations. Although the movie received mixed reviews from the audience, the Day 1 collections at the box office were impressive. The latest update reveals that the makers of the Japan film have finalized OTT platform. According to reports, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for a whopping price.

Interestingly, the film experienced better openings in Telugu states than in Tamil Nadu, drawing crowds near theaters on the first day. However, Critics reviews was not favorable, with many expressing disappointment.

Netflix, a popular OTT platform, has secured the digital streaming rights for ‘Japan,’ with possibilities of translation into Telugu, Tamil, and other languages. As per the OTT agreement, the movie is expected to start streaming after 4 weeks of its theatrical release, most likely in the second week of December or as a Christmas special.

In the movie ‘Japan,’ Anu Emmanuel stars opposite Karthi, with Telugu comedian Sunil and Tamil directors KS Ravikumar, Vijay Milton, and others in prominent roles. The film is produced by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu, heads of Karthi’s cousins’ production house, Dream Warrior Pictures, and features music composed by GV Prakash Kumar.
