Ever since the success of “RRR” in March 2022, film enthusiasts have eagerly awaited news about SS Rajamouli’s next project with Mahesh Babu untitled SSMB29. Originally scheduled for 2023 but the film’s script and international technology integration caused delays.

SS Rajamouli and his father KV Vijayendra Prasad are engrossed in finalizing the script, and entire screenplay will be locked by end of this year. Mahesh’s SSMB29 film is set to start shooting in April 2024. SS Rajamouli’s international recognition after “RRR” has led to discussions with global studios, Disney and Sony, for collaboration.

While the storytelling remains deeply rooted in Indian culture, SSMB29 film will feature cutting-edge technology and shooting in India and international locations. SSMB29 Cinematography by PS VINOD and Mahesh Babu is preparing for his role, which is rumored to have traits of Lord Hanuman.

SS Rajamouli is known for blending Indian mythology into his films, creating cinematic spectacles. Workshops for Mahesh will begin in early 2024 after the release of “Guntur Kaaram,” directed by Trivikram.
