Hero Nithiin starrer Macherla Niyojakavargam under the direction of MS Rajasekhar Reddy has hit the screens today. Let’s analyse it.

Story: After qualifying in civils, Siddharth Reddy ( Nithiin) a native of Vizag gets posting as Guntur district collector. Soon after landing in Macherla, Siddharth crosses paths with the local politician Rajappa ( Samuthirakani). Being a baddie, Rajappa passes a rule for unanimous elections in Macherla constituency. How will Siddharth Reddy takes over Rajappa and make possible for a fair elections in the constituency, forms the key aspect of the film.

Merits: Nithiin is good in his role as an agressive natured IAS officer. His confrontation scenes with Samuthirakani are engaging to an extent.

Samuthirakani did his part in an convincing manner. His intense acting as a baddie brings depth to the cat fight between the hero and the antagonist.

Vennela Kishore evokes good fun in his comic role.Heroine Krithi Shetty is cute on screen but her role is only restricted to a couple of songs and a few love scenes. Other artists such as Subhaleka Sudhakar, Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad, Indraja are okay in their respective roles.

Demerits: Director MS Rajasekhar Reddy’s idea of making a commerical mass entertainer with Nithiin is not a bad idea but he would have. focused on the presentation part.

Though the director incorporated enough mass and action elements in the narrative, the routine template execution comes as a main blender for Macherla Niyojikavargam.

Technical Crew: Music by Mahathi Swara Sagar is good. While all the songs are passable on screen. Especially, Ra Ra Reddy song is a treat for the mass audience. Coming to background score, Mahathi Swara Sagar did superb job as the score elevates a couple of action sequences in the second half.

Dialogues by Mamidala Thirupathi are fine. The cinematography work by Prasad Murella is apt for the film’s setup. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao is okay. Production values for this actioner are visible on screen.

Verdict: To wrap up, Macherla Niyojakavargam is a action packed commercial drama that has a few heroic elevation episodes. But on the flipside, predictable storyline, ages old execution format and lack of emotional connectivity comes as a biggest minus for the film.
