Starring: Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anu Emmanuel, Jagapathi Babu,
Director: Ajay Bhupathi
Ajay Bhupathi became a sensational director in his first attempt with RX 100 ‘. Now he is ready to show his mettle once again with the film ‘Maha Samudram’. The film stars Sharwanand, Siddharth, Aditirao Haideri and Anu Emmanuel in the lead roles. Let’s take a look at the review.
The movie is about in Vizag and is about two shut mates Vijay( Siddharth) and Arjun(Sharwanand). Vijay all the time has merciless intentions and at a crunch level in life, he leaves his pregnant lover Maha(Aditi Rao) and Vijay in deep issues .
If this was not sufficient, Arjun is pressured to grow to be the underworld don in Vizag. When issues appear to be going fantastic with Arjun, Maha and her daughter, Vijay comes again with a vengence to kill Arjun for dishonest him. How all that is solved types the fundamental story of Maha Samudram.
Sharwanand as Arjun and Siddharth as Vijay both did full justice to their roles. It was arguably the best performance of Sharwanand’s career. An honest man is inadvertently doing illicit business, looking at a friend’s girlfriend as his own man. Music by Chaitan Bhardwaj is also good and so was his BGM.
Siddharth, who has a lover boy image, impressed the audience with his stellar performance as Vijay with negative shades. After many days, he made us feel like we were seeing a new Siddharth.
Coming to the director Ajay Bhupathi, he has surely not lived up to the hype created after his first film. His canvas, actors, performances, and backdrop are perfect but the needed conflict and drama are missing in the film.
Aditya Rao Haidari has been cast in the lead role in this movie. She captivated the audience with her beauty and fine performance. As a law student, Anu Emmanuel did not seem to mind.
After Sharwa and Sidhu, the most mature characters in the film are Jagapathi Babu and Rao Ramesh. Jagapathi Babu transcended in the role of Chunchu Mama. Rao Ramesh impressed with his performance in the character of Gooni Babji.
Maha Samudram is an emotional action drama that ends up being a routine commercial movie. Sharwanand acting, some emotional scenes in the climax scene is good. However, in the second half, some scenes like stretching, boring play, slow narration, fake emotions were minus the film. Overall this movie is connected to those who like action dramas.
