The Tamil star Vijay starrer, “Leo,” continues to excel in box office collections, despite receiving mixed reviews upon its release on October 20. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film has exhibited robust performance in terms of its earnings. Launched as a collaboration between Vijay and Lokesh, “Leo” has garnered significant excitement in the Telugu states, where the theatrical rights were acquired by producer Naga Vamsi.
In a recent interview, Producer Naga Vamsi addressed questions regarding the Telugu dubbed version’s collections. Responding to concerns about the movie’s second half, Naga Vamsi emphasized that the content was beyond their control. He stated, “Content is not our concern. It’s not the movie we made. We believed in the combination and acquired the rights. Although there were some complaints about the second half, the youth responded well, resulting in good earnings. Both distributors and I are satisfied.”
According to reports, “Leo” has amassed gross collections of around Rs. 40 crores in the two Telugu states. Naga Vamsi secured the theatrical rights for the Telugu version under the Sitara Entertainments banner.
Furthermore, Selen Screen Studios, the film’s producer, announced that “Leo” has achieved a gross collection of Rs. 540 crores worldwide, encompassing all its language versions. To commemorate this achievement, the movie unit is organizing a grand success meet in Chennai on November 1.
