The much-anticipated release of Dhruva Natchathiram has faced another delay. This film, featuring Chiyaan Vikram and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, was initially set for release in Tamil and Telugu tomorrow (25/11/2024). However, due to ongoing challenges, the movie release has been officially postponed. Director officially confirmed and released press note.
Director Gautam Menon worked hard to bring the film to audiences, but unfortunately, faced obstacles. The lack of support from Tamil Nadu distributors and unresolved non-theatrical deals contributed to the decision to postpone. The promotional efforts, especially the trailer, failed to generate the expected excitement, making it difficult to secure financial backing and take the risk of releasing the film.
The prolonged delay of seven years has become a significant hurdle, leading to yet another postponement. Gautam Menon is now navigating the challenge of raising over 50 crores for the movie’s release, a task complicated by difficulties in securing funds from distributors and non-theatrical deals.
The film features Ritu Varma as Vikram’s love interest, supported by a talented cast including Parthiban, Aishwarya Rajesh, Simran, Radhika, Arjun Das, and Divyadarshini in crucial roles. Harris Jayaraj is the music director for this project.
