The theater audience has two choices at the end of October 2026. One is Venkatesh’s Aadarsha Kutumbam AK 47 and the other is Vishwak Sen’s Cult. The audience is interested as they are two different and contrasting genres. However, there are many options for the audience who want to get entertainment at home with OTT Release this weekend. If you want to watch everything on the first day, then OTTs are competing to provide overloaded content that is not enough for twenty-four hours.

The expectations started after the trailer of the lady gangster series ‘Akka’ starring Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte was released. Since it is a Yash Raj production, the hype is building well.  Vijay Sethupathi’s Baththa, they can watch it at home with Telugu dubbing. From telugu ‘Sigma’, directed by Sanjay Jayson, son of Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, starring Sundeep Kishan as the hero hitting OTT, and ‘Thella Kaagitham  which has become a youth cult, can be watched on TV.

Adi Saikumar’s ‘Sub-Inspector Yugandhar’ disappeared from theaters before it was even released. The possibility of a greater digital reach for Fahadh Faasil’s ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble’ presented by Rajamouli cannot be ruled out. There seems to be a bit of hype over ‘Rudravanam PS’, which is set in a crime backdrop. ‘Immortals’ starring GV Prakash and Kayadhu Lohar also needs to be proven on smart screens.

Apart from these, many movies and web series are becoming available in English and Hindi languages. All these are going to greet the public on various platforms between October 27 and 30. The trend has become that OTT releases are also targeting Thursdays and Fridays to get as many views as possible in the first weekend itself.
