The Chitra Puri colony was built for workers of 24 crafts of the Telugu film industry. Workers are embarrassed by the delay in the construction of double bedroom flats. Allegations of irregularities in double bedrooms have emerged. Allegations have been leveled at Cairo’s International School that it leased a complex in Chitra puri to the poor students of the colony. It is alleged that the Chitra puri Committee is planning to make huge real ventures in the remaining four acres of land in Chitra puri. The demands for building a single bedroom house in that vacant lot are to be given to poor workers.

Chitra puri has about 60 acres of land. Majority of them have completed construction. Some are in the construction stage. The members of the Chitra puri Sadhana Samiti have been struggling for a long time with the demand for at least single bedrooms for the poor workers in the remaining space. Recently, they were approached to Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan.

Pawan Kalyan said, after examining the hearing of the Sadhana Samiti, spoke to the Chitra puri Committee on the issue and promised to resolve the issue in harmony. Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao is currently the Chairperson of the Chitra puri Committee. Pawan said he would consult with others like Tammareddy Bharadwaja-Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and N Shankar to resolve the issue. There is constant debate among workers that the four acres of land adjoining the Chitra puri area will be allotted for the cinema workers. If the government gives the four acres, then the cost of building houses for the workers in excess of the calculation. Will Pawan Kalyan get help? All that remains to be seen.
