Radhe Shyam Review: Amidst high expectations, pan-India stars Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s period love drama, Radhe Shyam under the direction of Radha Krishna Kumar has hit the screens today. Check out our authentic Radhe Shyam Review.

Story:
Set in the 70s time period, Radhe Shyam prominently showcases the love story between an Indian origin palmist Vikram Aditya ( Prabhas) who migrates to Italy. In the foreign country, Prabhas crosses paths with a beautiful girl named Prerna ( Pooja Hegde) falls for her at the first sight. But how destiny comes a speed break in his love story. How will Vikram Aditya face the circumstances in the conflict war between love and destiny, forms the main USB of the film.

Positive Points:
Prabhas did his part perfectly but his class makeover with trimmed beard and moustache. Styling-wise, Prabhas is mostly seen in Neck Sleeves T-shirts and they suited him nicely.

Heroine Pooja Hegde is cute on-screen and her chemistry with Prabhas is presented in a decent manner. Her stylish, attires are done nicely to suit the 70s setup.

Krishnamraaju is okay in the cameo role as an astrologer Paramahamsa. Other artists such as Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Murali Sharma are fine in their supporting roles.

Negative Points:
The chemistry between the lead pair is showcased in a decent manner but lacks proper connectivity. Though Prabhas’ class is decent, his hairstyling and makeup are not designed properly as the hero looked odd in all close-up shots with the noise part dominating the screen.

Yet another minus point is the poorly written comedy scenes in the first half. Adding to it, the lack of action part may disappoint the fans and moviegoers who expect the same for Prabhas.

Technical Team:
The cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa is top-notch as showcased the entire film on a grand note. His visual presentation is a major plus for the film. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao is fine as he kept the runtime within limits.

Production design, the graphic and VFX work is done nicely for this class film. Production values are rich. Coming to the music part, while the songs composed by Justin Prabhakaran are passable on-screen, happening music composer Thaman’s background score breathes life to the entire film as his sounding brings a fresh vibe to the key scenes.

Last but not least, director Radha Krishna Kumar kept his cent percent efforts to make the film which is clearly visible on screen but his idea of making a pure class love story at this time is not a good one as the moviegoers are expecting something else from the pan-India star. Confining to the film, Radha Krishna Kumar did his part perfectly without any unnecessary deviations.

Verdict:
To conclude, Radhe Shyam is a class story between a palmist Vikram Aditya and a doctor Prerana. The entire premise created for the film is rich and has authentic texture but the problem is that this is not the film that is expected from Prabhas during his current pan-India machi image. If you like watching love stories with grand visualization, just keep aside Prabhas’ Baahubali image and Radhe Shyam will surely end up as a one-time watch.
