Ram Charan injured his right wrist while shooting for Peddi. He sustained the injury while filming an action sequence. However, Charan had decided to undergo surgery only after completing the film’s work and promotional activities. He later underwent wrist surgery at Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore in July.
Now, on September 24, Charan once again visited the same hospital. As part of the planned follow-up procedure, doctors removed the cast from his wrist. The rods that were placed during the surgery were also successfully removed. With this, Charan has completed another important stage in his recovery process.
However, Charan is not expected to return to shooting immediately. As per the doctors’ advice, he will need to undergo serious physiotherapy for another 8 to 10 weeks. The main focus now is to bring his wrist back to normal and regain the strength required to perform action sequences during shoots. Hence, Ram Charan is likely to return in front of the camera only after mid-November.
Ram Charan and Sukumar next RC17 pooja ceremony
After Peddi, Charan will be working with Sukumar untitled RC17. This is second collaboration after Rangasthalam, and there are already huge expectations surrounding the project. According to reports, the team is making arrangements to conduct the film’s pooja ceremony on October 20 in Hyderabad. The regular shoot is expected to begin once Charan fully recovers. Sukumar’s team is reportedly planning to begin shooting in November or December.
Meanwhile, the film is currently in the pre-production stage. There is also a buzz that Charan will undergo a makeover for the project. Unlike his look in Peddi, he is reportedly preparing to appear slimmer for Sukumar’s film.
For now, Charan’s priority is to make a complete recovery. Once he finishes his physiotherapy, he will return to the shooting sets. This means the Mega Power Star is likely to get busy with back-to-back work again after November.
