Ramayana Part 1 Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s upcoming mythological epic ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is sweeping the advance bookings at box office. Even though there is still 11 days left for the film’s release, the advance ticket sales of Rs. 20.50 crores worldwide are already showing the immense craze for the film. Nearly 2.25 lakh tickets have been sold so far in India as well as in many Overseas markets. Including the premiere shows on November 4, and the first day release bookings on November 5, the film has crossed the $2 million mark (approximately Rs. 20.50 crores) in pre-sales alone in overseas market and Yash setting new records at advance booking box office collection.

The film is receiving an unexpected response, especially in the overseas market. Moviegoers are competing for preview shows in North America on November 4. It has been proven once again how much preview shows help big Indian films before their release. While the highest collection has come from India so far, advance bookings are also going strong from North America, the UK, Australia and many parts of Europe.

Looking at the details of the bookings registered so far.. While North America previews have brought in over $550K (dollars), on the first day in India on November 5, it has collected over $1.20M. Together with the $400K received from other overseas regions, the advance sales on the first day alone, excluding previews, have crossed $1.60M. Overall, worldwide bookings, including previews and opening day, have crossed the $2.15M (Rs. 20.50 crore) mark.

The number of theatres and show allocations is likely to increase further in the coming days. However, the current Rs. 20 crore pre-sales are a combination of previews and the first day. This cannot be seen as the first day collection on November 5 alone. The actual first day collections will depend on the popularity of prime format shows, the buzz that will grow among the audience in the coming days.
