Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan’s previous film ‘Taxiwala’ was a hit. Now, the duo is coming together with a period story set in the British era. ‘Ranabaali’ is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T Series which is release on October 16th. Now, the Ranabaali teaser is creating curiosity from the first look. Looking at the scenes, Vijay has completely erased his lover boy image and surprised everyone by appearing as a raw and rustic warrior.
The Ranabaali teaser begins with the horrific days of the Great Madras Presidency Famine of 1876-78, when 8 million Indians died of starvation. While people struggled for grains in a country like Annapurna, the atrocities committed by the British rulers created a tear-jerking emotion. The visuals of the cries of hunger and the parched soil were designed to be very hard-hitting.
Vijay Deverakonda debuted as the warrior ‘Singanamala Bobbili Ranabali’ who fought against this oppression. The blood-stained body, the shots of him riding a horse with a big machete in his hand, and the way he attacks the British army are sure to give goosebumps to the mass audience in the Ranabaali teaser.
Vijay’s dialogue delivery in Rayalaseema accent is excellent and intense. In terms of visuals, the cinematography is very rich, perfectly recreating the period feel with a dusty tone. Additionally, the background music provided by Ajay Atul enhances the anger and emotion in the scenes. Heroine Rashmika Mandanna impresses in an emotional scene.
Mythri Movie Makers’ scale and Rahul Sankrityan’s vision are highlighted in every frame. Unlike the routine formula of the past, the real strength of this project is the choice of a strong historical tragedy and the rebellion against it. Vijay impresses in the most violent and powerful avatar ever seen in his career. Fans hoping to see more of her may have to wait for the trailer. There is no denying the fact that the story looks familiar as many films have been based on revolition against British in the past.
