Positive Points: Jagapathi Babu – Story – Screenplay – Mamta Mohandas – Negative Points: second half – music – climax
Analysis: “Rudrangi” offers surprises and engaging moments, especially in the first half. It delves into the dynamics between the characters, creates anticipation, and explores themes of social backwardness and caste hierarchy.
The film draws inspiration from “Osey Ramulamma,” but the second half lacks emotional depth and becomes predictable. Although the film incorporates engaging elements and tackles relevant themes, it falls short in terms of emotional impact and impactful action.

The drama could have been elevated further, Jagapathi Babu’s acting is commendable but sometimes exaggerated. The violence against women should have been reduced. Overall, the film had potential to be gripping, but the narration by Ajay Samrat falls short in delivering the key drama.
Verdict: Rudrangi is a period drama that addresses the topic of oppression. The first half of the film is good, but the second half is disappointing and weakens the overall impact. Jagapathi Babu and Ashish Gandhi deliver impressive performances, although the emotional aspect of the story could have been better portrayed. Mamta Mohandas’ role becomes less prominent in the second half. Overall, Rudrangi is an average watch for this weekend.
