India’s biggest superstar, Prabhas, continues to entertain his fans by working on films back-to-back, despite the massive scale, canvas, and budgets of his projects. Among superstars of his stature, he makes sure that at least one of his films is released every year, even while working on such big-budget projects.
This year, The Raja Saab was released but failed at the box office due to mixed reviews. Prabhas wanted to come before the audience with Fauzi in December, but that plan did not work out due to delays in shooting and the scale of the story.
The delay in Fauzi is also affecting Prabhas’ other films. The shooting of highly anticipated sequels like Kalki 2 and Salaar 2 is also getting delayed. While Kalki 2 has yet to begin shooting, many believe that the planned schedule may no longer be possible. There are also doubts about whether Salaar 2 will be released next year.
However, director Prashanth Neel surprised everyone with an update on Salaar 2.
418, a film produced by Prashanth Neel, was released on October 23, and Prabhas also took part in a small promotional interaction with the team. On this occasion, the makers released a video in which Prashanth Neel wished Prabhas on his birthday. Prabhas asked him where his birthday gift was, and when Prashanth said he would give it to him at night, Prabhas asked another question about when Salaar 2 would be released. In response, Prashanth revealed that the film would begin shooting in June 2027.
As is known, Prashanth Neel is currently working with Jr. NTR on Dragon, which is scheduled for release in June 2027. Despite delays caused by production work and NTR’s shoulder injury, Prashanth has reportedly decided not to postpone the film any further. He plans to release Dragon in June 2027 and then begin shooting for Salaar 2.
During the gap caused by NTR’s injury a few months ago, Prashanth Neel reportedly focused on the script and pre-production work for Salaar 2. Therefore, there is a possibility that the film will move forward without further delays after the release of Dragon.
