As per the reports coming in from our sources, Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur starrer Sita Ramam is banned in UAE and GCC countries. Reportedly, the film’s title is the same reason behind the imposed ban on Sita Ramam as the respective governments felt it might bring religious sensitivity issues.
Usually, Dulquer Salmaan movies enjoy good revenues from UAE and middle-east countries. For those who are eagerly waiting to watch Sita Ramam in UAE, this news comes as a major disappointment.
Keeping aside the ban on Sita Ramam in the middle-east countries, it is carrying good expectations in India and overseas circuits such as USA and Canada. The film’s first premiere show will start at 3:30 AM( IST) in the US.
The film is expected to open with decent occupancy in Telugu states despite the release of yet another noted film, Bimbisara. In Malayalam, being Dulquer Salmaan’s home ground, the film is going to take the box office by storm.
In Tamil as well, Sita Ramam has high chances to open on a decent note. This Hanu Raghavapudi directional also stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. Rashmika Mandanna will be seen in a key role. Vyjayanthi Movies in association with Swapna Cinema banner bankrolled Sita Ramam. The film has its music composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar.
