Hey guys, have you seen Adipurush yet? It’s been one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, but unfortunately, Sonal Chauhan’s role in the movie was pretty forgettable. She played Mandodhari, Ravan’s wife, and although her character is pretty important in the Ramayana, she only appeared in two scenes with barely any dialogue.
Director Om Raut decided to trim down Mandodhari’s role in his modernized version of the epic tale, which left many fans disappointed. They were expecting Sonal to have a more prominent presence in the film, and some even thought she could have been given a few more scenes to showcase her talent.
To make matters worse, Sonal was nowhere to be seen during the film’s promotions, which raised even more questions about her role in Adipurush. And get this, reports have revealed that she was paid a whopping Rs 70 lakhs for her limited contribution. That’s a lot of money for just two scenes, don’t you think?
Overall, it’s a shame that Sonal’s role in Adipurush didn’t live up to expectations. But hey, at least we got to see her on the big screen, right?
