Superstar Rajinikanth to get 'Icon of Golden Jubilee' award at IFFI

South superstar Rajinikanth has another rare honor. Rajani will be honored with the Icon of Golden Jubilee Award at the International Film Festival of India this year. Union Minister of State for Information Prakash Javadekar said on Twitter.

“He is pleased to announce that he has been awarded the Icon of Golden Jubilee of IFFI 2019 at the International Film Festival of India 2019 for his services to the Indian film industry over the past few decades.”

Rajinikanth reacted to the announcement that he would be presented with the prestigious award. He thanked the Government of India for the occasion. The event will be held in Goa from 20th to 28th of this month. The government is making arrangements to hold the IFFI 2019 celebration as 50 is over.

On the same platform, French actress Isabelle Huppert is presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award in the Foreign Artist category. Prakash announced that 50 female directors will be screening 50 films at a ceremony in Goa. Of the 200 films featured at the celebrations, nearly 24 were Oscar nominations.

When it comes to Rajni films, he is currently busy shooting for murugadoss Darbar film. The shooting of the film is almost complete. Rajini is acting as a police officer and Nayanthara is playing the heroine. Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty and Yogi Babu are playing key roles.

After the film, Rajni is ready to make a film under the direction of Massive Action Director Siva. The official announcement of the film has already been released. The superstar is ready to make an impact in politics while he is busy in cinema.
