The 2027 box-office calendar is gearing up for one of its most exciting lineups ever in Indian film history. Five massive pan-India films from Tollywood are set to shake up theatres in 2027. Prabhas’ Fauzi, Mahesh Babu’s Varanasi, NTR’s Dragon, Prabhas’ Spirit, and finally Allu Arjun’s Raaka — top stars are all set to begin their box-office hunt one after another. With a healthy gap between each release, the box-office records could be shattered continuously throughout the year.

First up is Fauzi, the periodic war drama starring Prabhas and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film was initially scheduled to arrive in December this year, but delays in shooting have pushed its release to the beginning of summer. The excitement will reach its peak on April 7, when SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu’s visual extravaganza Varanasi hits theatres. With Rajamouli’s signature grandeur and Mahesh Babu aiming for global recognition, the film is expected to take the box office to another level.

Next, on June 11, Young Tiger NTR and Prashanth Neel’s much-awaited project Dragon will launch its attack at the box office. The two-month gap after Rajamouli’s film works perfectly in favour of this mass action epic. With Neel’s trademark elevations and Tarak’s screen presence coming together, theatres are expected to erupt with excitement. The project is arriving at the right time to deliver the solid mass entertainer audiences are looking for.

As the festive season approaches, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s powerful cop drama Spirit is set to shake up the box office on October 29 Diwali special. Prabhas’ swagger as a rough and tough police officer is expected to give the Diwali 2027 box office a massive boost. Meanwhile, it would be even better if the much-discussed second part of Ramayana also moves back slightly and finds a suitable release date. That would give Spirit a clearer run at the box office, allowing it to create havoc on its own.

Towards the end of the year, Icon Star Allu Arjun’s Raaka, directed by Atlee, is expected to arrive in theatres as a December treat. Following the massive craze surrounding Pushpa, expectations are sky-high for Allu Arjun’s next project, especially with Atlee’s signature commercial and mass elements adding to the excitement. Raaka is gearing up to make the most of the year-end holiday season and deliver a spectacular finish to 2027.
The release planning for these five films looks clear, with healthy gaps between them. Targeting the pan-India market one after another, these exciting projects have the potential to rewrite box-office records. Almost all of them have the potential to cross the ₹1,000 crore mark. If each film arrives in theatres with the right planning, Tollywood could establish unprecedented dominance in Indian cinema next year.
