Venkatesh reacts to the negative comments on Asuran remake

It’s already confirmed that Victory Venkatesh is stepping into the shoes of Dhanush for the Telugu remake of Asuran. While the leading lady is yet to be finalised, ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ fame Srikanth Addala has been confirmed as the director. At the press meet of Venky Mama, one can notice the rugged look of the 58-year-old actor and he seems to be prepping up for the role.

During a recent interaction with a leading daily, Venkatesh opened up on the negative comments for Asuran remake. Revealing that a number of people from the film fraternity have advised him not to do the film, the senior star said “People have doubted my ability in the past too. But it took me just half an hour to decide about doing this film.”

Admitting that remake films constitute 99 per cent of his success, Venkatesh stated that Asuran is the right film for him after F2 and Venky Mama. He is eagerly looking forward to starting the shoot and get into the shoes of the character.

Opening up on the Telugu remake of ‘De De Pyaar De’, the Daggubati scion confirmed that the project has been dropped.
