Tollywood young hero Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are playing the lead pair in the period action entertainer Ranabaali. Directed by Taxiwaala fame Rahul Sankrityan, the film is creating huge hype as it is Vijay Deverakonda’s first movie to release after his marriage and second collaboration with the director. The teaser and song released earlier were on created strong buzz on film, while the latest Ranabaali trailer is giving goosebumps.
Looking into the Ranabaali trailer is being made as a period action drama based on real incidents that took place during the British rule between 1854 and 1878 set in the Rayalaseema backdrop. The trailer begins with a Burrakatha-style song narrating the story of Bhadra Mallanna Tatayya, who attained Jeeva Samadhi on Singanamala Konda 200 years ago and is believed to protect the village. From there, the trailer reveals the actual story of Ranabaali’s birth. The atrocities committed against Indians during the rule of the British, and the brutal acts of the British who turned Annapurna Desham into a famine-hit region, along with secrets that history has never seen before, are shown in the film.
The film emotionally showcases how Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali bravely stood against the atrocities of the British rulers who trampled Indians under their feet for a handful of food. How did warrior Ranabaali stand by the people of Seema through his fight? How did he crush the atrocities of the British rulers? How did he kill the white ruler who treated Indians like slaves? That is the story.
Ranabaali is set to present a new kind of freedom struggle that has never been seen before on the silver screen. Rahul Sankrityan is directing the movie, with Vijay Deverakonda as Ranabaali and Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Jayamma. Arnold Oslo plays a key role as a British ruler in a negative role. Presented by T-Series and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, the film will release worldwide on October 16 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
