Crazy hero Vijay Deverakonda is back with a romantic entertainer titled, World Famous Lover. This Kranthi Madhav’s directional has hit knock the theaters today. Let’s see how it has in the store.
Irritated with his husband Gautham’s (Vijay Deverakonda) easy go reckless behavior Yamini (Raashi Khanna) leaves him with no option left. Later, desperate Gautham turns into a book writer and starts writing about the relationships and possibilities for the sacrifice and compromise in any one’s love life. In a visual presentation, he creates Seenyya- Suvarna’s thread with Aishwarya Rajesh and Gautham- Iza thread with Isabelle and emerges as a reputed writer. Will Yamini notices Gautham’s fame and return back? How will the film wrap up? Forms the rest of the story.
The Rowdy man, Vijay Deverakonda shines in the three different characters and brings life to each one of them with his unique performance. He carried way the film with his commanding screen presence.
The initial love story of Gautham-Yamini has a few adorable moments in it. Seenayya’s thread with Aishwarya is emotional and has perfect character establishment.
The two mainstream ladies Raashi Khanna and Aishwarya Rajesh are apt in their roles and did cent percent justice to the roles given. Aishwarya Rajesh is nice in her small town Suvarna character and did her dialogues in Telangana slang quite impressive. Especially, Raashi is just wow in her role which has a good transformation throughout the film. Her emotional angle is presented in an effective manner.
The rest of the characters portrayed by Catherine Tresa and Isabelle are okay in their cameo.
After a passable first half, the film’s narration goes down during the second half with non-sync emotions and imbalanced screenplay. Excessive shades of Arjun Reddy in Gautham’s character is also a minus for the film.
The presentation and Gautham-Isabelle thread is not handled in a proper manner. The scenes during this course in time look awkward. The annoying screenplay in the crucial second half is also a big minus for the film.
Lack of entertainment and serious tone narration also may not go well with the majority of the audience. Actor Priyadarshi is wasted as his role has no purpose and connection with the storyline.
Director Kranthi Madhav’s story and the idea of presenting the love story in different ways has freshness in it but lack of engaging screenplay and drop-dead narration in the second half make things difficult for the audience.
Editing work by senior technician Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is okay. Cinematography by Jaya Krishna Gummadi is good at parts.
Music by Gopi Sundar is a big letdown as none of the songs or the background score impresses the audience.
Production values for this Vijay Deverakonda’s starrer are top-notch.
In an overview, World Famous Lover is a disheartening treat from Vijay Deverakonda for this Valentines’ Day. Expect for Vijay, Raashi and Aishwarya’s performances the film has nothing much to talk about and may sustain at the box office if any miracle happens.
