Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar’s much-awaited sequel ‘Jailer 2’ has bagged a massive OTT deal even before its theatrical release. Trade sources report that Amazon Prime Video has secured the post-theatrical digital rights for around Rs 160 crore, topping the Rs 100 crore the first part Jailer fetched and making it one of the biggest OTT deals in Tamil cinema.
Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian set to hit theatres on October 15, 2026. S.J. Suryah, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu key role in this film while Anirudh Ravichander composes the music.
With the digital rights locked in early, the makers already have a strong financial cushion regardless of box office numbers, and all eyes are now on whether the film lives up to the buzz.
