Released in a large number of theatres with massive hype, The Paradise is recording impressive box office collections. Made on the biggest budget 200Cr of Nani’s career, the film began with premieres on September 23.
Despite receiving negative talk from the premieres, the film managed to deliver strong numbers. Although the movie received mixed talk on Day 1, Nani created a career-best opening and set a new record among Tier-2 heroes.
The Paradise collected around $2.2 million overseas, which is approximately ₹22 crore gross from premieres and Day 1. In India, the film collected a Day 1 net of ₹34.65 crore, taking its India gross to ₹54.90 crore and India net to ₹46.25 crore so far. The film’s total worldwide gross stands at ₹76.90 crore.
These are the highest collections of Nani’s career. The film has registered an epic opening among medium-range Telugu films. Including premieres, The Paradise collected around ₹13.5 crore gross in India before its first day and continued its sensational rampage across all territories on Day 1.
In the Nizam region alone, the film has collected over ₹20 crore gross through premieres and Day 1.
These are all-time epic opening numbers among medium-range films in Tollywood. Based on the final offline figures, the collections could increase further. It remains to be seen what range the official Day 1 figures will reach.
