After the ₹500 ticket price was fixed for ‘The Paradise’ premiere in Telangana, it was expected that Andhra Pradesh might also have the same rate. However, the permission given by the AP government is different. For the special show scheduled on the evening of September 23, the ticket price has been fixed at ₹400 in multiplexes and ₹300 in single screens. For the same film, there is a difference of ₹100 to ₹200 in premiere ticket prices between the two Telugu states.
The plan is also different in AP for regular shows. From September 24 to October 3, an additional ₹75 can be charged on multiplex tickets and ₹50 on single-screen tickets for ten days. This hike will apply to five shows per day. In Telangana, a different rate structure has been implemented, with one rate for the first four days and another for the following six days.
In Telangana, from September 24 to 27, the ticket hike is ₹95 for multiplexes and ₹48 for single screens. From September 28 to October 3, the hike will come down to ₹45 and ₹23 respectively. In AP, however, the ₹75 and ₹50 hike will continue for all ten days. During the first weekend, Telangana multiplex tickets will be more expensive. For the premiere, AP audiences will have to spend less. If four people go to a single-screen premiere, the tickets alone will cost ₹1,200 in AP, compared to ₹2,000 for the same four tickets in Telangana. In an AP multiplex, four tickets will cost ₹1,600. The film is coming with an A certificate, so it remains to be seen how much impact that will have.

Advance bookings have already started in Nizam. Tracking reports indicate that more than one lakh tickets have been sold and worldwide advance sales have reached close to ₹10 crore. At that point, AP bookings had not fully opened. Now that the government has approved the ticket rates, more shows are expected to open there as well. It will be particularly interesting to see how quickly bookings move in A-centers for the ₹300 single-screen premiere. Since there is only one evening available for the premiere, shows in key centers could fill up quickly.
Another point is that in Telangana, the producers were required to contribute ₹1 crore to the Film Industry Employees Welfare Committee. No such contribution is mentioned in the AP order. There, two different prices have been fixed for the special show, while a uniform hike has been given for regular shows for ten days. Now, once AP bookings fully open, it remains to be seen how closely the sales there will match the speed seen in Nizam.
