Story Background
Anvesh (Sumanth Prabhas) is an enthusiastic young man who is pursuing a startup idea. While working on developing a dating app, he gets acquainted with Maithili (Ananthika Sanilkumar) from Chennai. Their acquaintance gradually turns into a close emotional bond. When Anvesh travels to Chennai to surprise Maithili, the story takes an unexpected turn. Within moments, Maithili blocks him and disappears. Why did she distance herself? What is the truth behind her disappearance? How does Anvesh, along with his group of friends, manage to get out of this situation? This forms the actual journey of the film.
Analysis – Performances
Although there is a little confusion at the beginning about where the story is heading, the actual story picks up pace once the hero steps into Chennai. Rather than being just a regular love story, the suspense surrounding it and the natural mischief of youngsters become the film’s major strengths. While the first half moves slowly in a few places, the scenes in the second half keep the audience hooked to their seats.
Entertainment & Emotions: There is no shortage of entertainment in the film. The frustration of Gen Z youngsters, conversations between friends, and the humour that arises amid the chaos bring plenty of laughs. Except for a few forced emotional moments, the true value of friendship comes through strongly on screen.
Performances: Sumanth Prabhas fits perfectly into the role of an irresponsible youngster with his natural performance. Ananthika impresses with her screen presence and also shares good chemistry with the hero. Meanwhile, Narendra Ravi, Venkatesh Kakumanu, Mani, and Sohan, who play the friends, carry the film on their shoulders with their timing. Narendra Ravi’s punches are a special attraction.
Technical Aspects: Vasuki Vaibhav’s background score lifts the film’s graph considerably. Pawan Pappula’s cinematography gives every frame a fresh and rich look. Director Venugopal Reddy deserves appreciation for the way he handled the buddy comedy in his debut attempt. The production values are of a high standard and suit the scale of the film.
